Provides access to the Hawkeye Jupiter property which will accommodate high tech R&D and corporate office tenants, furthering the specific economic development goals of Jupiter and Palm Beach County.
Provides more direct access to existing businesses within Jupiter Commerce Park, thereby benefitting the businesses, employees and customers.A handful of residents in Kennedy Estates, a community east of -- but not adjacent --- to the proposed road alignment, have voiced objections to four different alignment alternatives for the road offered by Palm Beach County over the past six years that would alleviate the traffic congestion at Indiantown Road and Central Blvd. They have rejected three proposals from the owner of the adjacent Hawkeye Jupiter property to make significant investments in and improvements to their neighborhood in exchange for their support of the road alignment. There are also objections from residents of Limestone Creek who have stated that the new road will "separate" their community. The community is north of Indiantown Road and across the C-18 Canal, about 1/3 of a mile away from the proposed Island Way road alignment.
